The ‘CROOTIN CANNONS are going to get a real workout starting Wednesday morning. Why you might be asking yourself right now. What is so special about Wednesday morning? Well friend, Wednesday, Dec. 18th starts the Early Signing Period for Division 1 football!

That means that from the 18th to the 20th high school seniors can sign their national letters of intent (NLI) and commit to their school of choice officially. Like last year, and the year before that, we here at B5Q are expecting the Badgers to sign all of their known commitments on Wednesday.

Currently, the Badgers have 17 hard commits that should be faxing in their NLI on Wednesday. There are still a few spots open in the class should the right prospect pick Wisconsin, but those will be SURPRISES!

We’ve compiled a list of the players that have publicly stated they’ll be signing early and a few we’ve messaged on Twitter that have confirmed with us (we felt like REAL REPORTERS!). If they do sign, they’ll hopefully get to experience this one year.

3-star TE Cam Large

3-star ATH Preston Zachman

4-star OT Jack Nelson

3-star OT Dylan Barrett

3-star WR Chimere Dike

3-star LB Jordan Turner

3-star WR Isaac Smith

3-star DE Aaron Witt

3-star DE Cade McDonald

3-star LB Malik Reed

We will update this post as more players announce. We also confirmed with these players via Twitter that they’ll be signing on Wednesday:

  • LB Malik Reed
  • TE Cam Large
  • ATH Cole Dakovich
  • OL Tanor Bortolini
  • OL Dylan Barrett
  • DE Aaron Witt

What we’ve got planned for this week!

We have player profiles on each and every commit locked and loaded to post as soon as their fax comes through and UW announces them. We have a podcast lined up with some special guests. We’ll have a staff round table to breakdown the full class, a class rankings update and a roundup of Paul Chryst’s thoughts on his new class. We’ll also have a collection of walk-ons that commit and then a look ahead to the 2021 class BECAUSE ‘CROOTIN DON’T STOP, Y’ALL!
