After reeling in a commitment from 2021 inside linebacker Bryan Sanborn on Friday, the Wisconsin Badger football team struck again on the recruiting front. Saturday night, in-state outside linebacker Ayo Adebogun, a three-star recruit out of Homestead High School in Wisconsin, opted to stay home.

While most teams across the country are putting the finishing touches on the 2020 classes, Wisconsin has been hot on the trail for the future. Only a junior, he joins a 2021 recruiting class that is currently ranked in the top ten nationally according to both 247 Sports and Rivals, with seven total commitments.

At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Adebogun demonstrates in his junior film tremendous traits for the outside linebacker position in Jim Leonhard’s 3-4 scheme, specifically his ability to get after the quarterback. As a junior he was named to the all-state team, with over 70 tackles and a whopping 17 sacks.
Earning an offer from the Badgers at the end of September, Adebogun visited a few other campuses this fall, but Wisconsin seemed to always have the edge. While the in-state product had no other offers on the table, he was garnering interest from Notre Dame, Michigan State, Minnesota, and Iowa.
