B5Q Blogopean Union: it’s Rusty Toolbox Day

Plus: the Watt brothers just gas each other up on Twitter; Vitto Brown is still a good singer; the wrestling team is pretty good.

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at Oakland Raiders Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning! This is going to be a daily(ish) post that discusses the goings on of the rest of the Big Ten Conference, and the country as needed. Much like the European Union, the Big Ten is a loosely confederated group of entities that sometimes have the same goals (like free movement of people between countries or not winning national titles in football or basketball) and sometimes accept new members that they later regret (Estonia or Rutgers).

We hope that you will use this post to comment on things happening around the conference and also as a sort of daily open thread to discuss breaking news or argue about Spotted Cow.

  • TNF, between the Raiders and Chargers, was basically a Badgers intra-squad scrimmage.
  • TROPHY. SZN.
  • Vitto Brown would be a professional singer if he wasn’t a professional basketball player?!?!?
  • I don’t know much about the world of hockey recruiting, but I know that I like when the Badgers get a player so I’m going to say this is an unabashedly good thing!
  • If you are a big fan of terrible facial hair, and anyone who was friends with me in college will attest that I am, and also men’s health you should think about donating some money to the hockey team’s Movember fund.
  • Badger on Badger violence at the Team USA and Team Canada joint practices being held in Pittsburgh this week.
  • The wrestling team is off to a hot start, winning their first four duals.
  • The men’s soccer team will be looking to make some noise as an underdog in the B1G Tournament, which starts for them on Sunday.
