Badgers move to No. 7 in FanPulse Poll

The Badgers rolled over Kent State and continue to rise in the rankings.

Wisconsin rolled Kent State 48-0 last Saturday, and in turn moved up one spot in the latest release of SB Nation’s FanPulse Poll. After two weeks at No. 8, the Badgers moved up one spot to No. 7 this week. Badger fans agreed with the national poll, ranking Wisconsin in the same spot.

The top four in this week’s poll remained relatively the same with Alabama at No. 1 and Clemson in the second spot. However, Big Ten foe Ohio State hopped into the four team race at No. 3 ahead of Georgia at number four. LSU and Oklahoma sit at No. 6 and No. 7, rounding out the spots ahead of Wisconsin. The Florida Gators remained one spot behind Wisconsin despite their impressive win over the Auburn Tigers this weekend.

Other Big Ten members also continued to rise as Penn State cracked the top-ten this week. Additionally, Michigan moved up to the No. 16 spot after defeating the Hawkeyes in Ann Arbor last Saturday. The rankings set up for another top-25 matchup this week as Penn State travels to Iowa City this coming Saturday. Two other Big Ten teams are in the mix, but just missed out as the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Michigan State Spartans received votes.

In addition to the Top 25 FanPulse ballot, a poll question was poised to the audience. This week’s question was in regards to this coming weekends’ great slate of games. When asked which game was most anticipated, the Red River Rivalry (née Shootout) took home the cake with 38% of the vote. LSU-Florida, where College Game Day will be, came in second with 32% and Penn State vs. Iowa came in third with 10%. Bucknell-Colgate also received some love, getting 1.7% of the votes because apparently people care about that somewhere in the world.
