B5Q Blogopean Union: Michael Deiter has more catches than A.J. Green this year

Just saying.

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning! This is going to be a daily(ish) post that discusses the goings on of the rest of the Big Ten Conference, and the country as needed. Much like the European Union, the Big Ten is a loosely confederated group of entities that sometimes have the same goals (like free movement of people between countries or not winning national titles in football or basketball) and sometimes accept new members that they later regret (Estonia or Rutgers).

We hope that you will use this post to comment on things happening around the conference and also as a sort of daily open thread to discuss breaking news or argue about Spotted Cow.

  • The Badgers just keep winning awards and moving up in the rankings.
  • How many goals will Cole Caufield end up with this year? If he doesn’t miss any games...it should be a lot.
  • Michael Deiter has to be climbing the list of greatest Badgers WR to ever play in the NFL, right?
  • There will be another Badger on BTN this basketball season.
  • The Badgers open their season Wednesday night (tonight!) with an exhibition game at the Kohl Center. Things are finally looking up for the women’s basketball team after a long time out in the wilderness.
  • Look, I’m as excited as the next guy for the potential return of EA Sports NCAA Football series and for college athletes to be able to make money of of their NIL but the NCAA didn’t say anything on Tuesday. They basically released a statement saying “we’re going to look into this further.”
  • Wanna see people mad online? Because Joey Hauser getting a waiver to play immediately at MSU will make people mad online.
  • A pair of Badgers received well-deserved honors on Tuesday.
  • Doesn’t seem like those hats are regulation but I’m not a volleyball ref.
