Recruits visit Wisconsin on Junior Day

A breakdown of who came to UW this weekend.

As B5Q noted earlier this weekend, the Wisconsin Badgers staff expected to host some recruit this weekend.

Despite the frigid temperatures here in Madison, some high school prospects make the trek to UW to take in the sites and sounds of the university.

Wisconsin director of player personnel Saeed Khalif noted in the above tweet that there was a Junior Day for the football program. With that, here are some recruits that publicly tweeted that they came to Madison.

Note: For sake of avoiding redundancy, we will not go into much detail about those that we highlighted in Saturday’s article regarding star ratings and offers.

2020 WR Daniel Jackson

The 247Sports composite four-star wide receiver spoke with Rivals/BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara about his visit ($), noting that Wisconsin would be placed in his top five.

2020 OL Sean Timmis

Both 247Sports and Rivals have the Milwaukee, Wis. (Marquette University), offensive lineman currently unrated, but he has picked up an offer from Columbia.

2020 DE Nate Matlack

2021 TE Cane Berrong

We highlighted Berrong earlier this week, and the Georgia native and 2021 recruit left Wisconsin with an offer.

2020 OL/DL Mason Raymer

Does the last name sound familiar? That’s because his father, Cory, is a former standout Wisconsin offensive lineman who went on to play 98 games (83 starts) in the NFL.

Mason appeared to enjoy his time in Madison.

2020 LB/RB Ross Gengler

Like Timmis, Gengler is an in-state product. He hails from Delavan (Delavan-Darien).

2020 RB Dylan Downing

A three-star running back by Rivals, he holds offers from Washington State, Central Michigan and Toledo.

2020 WR/DB Dylan Appleton
