During this month of January, the Wisconsin Badgers’ coaching staff continues to present offers to members of the class of 2020.
This weekend or next week, B5Q will highlight some 2021 offers that Wisconsin have extended, but for now, two defensive prep standouts for the next recruiting cycle appear to be on the Badgers’ radar.
As a reminder, Wisconsin currently has four verbal commitments for the class of 2020. Those include four-star linemen Trey Wedig and Jack Nelson, along with three-star prospects Dylan Barrett and Ben Barten.
CB Joshuah Moten
Moten tweeted the offer on Friday morning, thanking defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Jim Leonhard. 247Sports composite, Rivals and ESPN all rate the Fort Washington, Md. (National Christian Academy), native as a four-star prospect (three-star by 247Sports standalone rankings).
247Sports composite rankings designate him as the No. 229 player and No. 19 cornerback in the country.
247Sports lists 24 offers—Rivals notes 23—for Moten. Power 5 programs like Florida, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon and Penn State all hope to court the defensive back to their respective programs.
LB Noah Sewell
247Sports composite rankings list Sewell as a four-star prospect, the No. 1 player in Utah, the No. 7 inside linebacker and No. 245 player overall in the country. 247Sports and ESPN also rate him as a four-star recruit, while Rivals designates him as a high three-star product.
Both 247Sports and Rivals list 20 offers for Sewell. Like Moten, prominent programs like Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M, Stanford, USC and Washington all have presented opportunities for the Orem, Utah native.

A quick look at Sewell’s junior Hudl film shows a ‘backer who can pursue downhill, patrol and move around the field to make a play.
