Fresh off an upset of then-No. 2 Texas, second-ranked Wisconsin volleyball went on the road Friday looking to build on a hot start to the season. It was not to be, as the Badgers fell to No. 15 Baylor in four sets, 25–18, 21–25, 23–25, 22–25.
It was a back-and-forth affair, as Wisconsin (4–1) narrowly out-hit the Bears .294 to .293, but was unable to break through in the later sets.
Sophomore Dana Rettke led the Badgers with 19 kills and nine blocks. Sophomore Grace Loberg continued her strong start to 2018 with 12 kills and three aces. Sophomore Sydney Hilley had 50 assists.

It was a rough night for top-ranked teams. No. 1 Minnesota fell to Oregon, while No. 5 Penn State, No. 8 Florida, No. 9 UCLA, and No. 10 USC all lost.
Wisconsin looks to be get back to its winning ways Sunday, taking on North Texas at 1 p.m. CT.
