On Monday, Kettle Moraine, Wis., kicker/punter Blake Wilcox announced on Twitter that he verbally committed to Wisconsin.
Wilcox is rated a five-star kicker and punter by Kohl’s Kicking Camp, being ranked the No. 5 kicker and No. 3 punter in the nation for the class of the 2019. 247Sports composite rankings designate him as a three-star prospect.
In late June, Wilcox tweeted that he received a preferred walk-on opportunity from Wisconsin—this after working at one of UW’s specialists camps. He also mentioned on social media that he was selected to play in the 2019 Under Armor All-American game.
Finished 3rd overall for punting at the 2018 Kohl’s National Scholarship Camp. Beyond blessed to have been awarded a position to play in the 2019 Under Armour All American Game in Orlando. BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara saw Wilcox in person earlier in the high school season, as the specialist drilled a 51-yard field goal attempt.

Wisconsin now has two commits from the class of 2019 as preferred walk-ons with both Wilcox and long snapper Peter Bowden.
