Wisconsin makes top four for 2019 LB Jared Casey

Plus other recruiting headlines

This week, B5Q has mentioned the name of Louisville, Ky. (Ballard) linebacker Jared Casey a lot, and on Friday afternoon, the class of 2019 recruit announced his top four schools.

Wisconsin, along with Oregon, Kentucky, and Louisville, all made the cut.

According to Rivals, Casey is a four-star prospect and the No. 16 inside linebacker in the nation. 247Sports’ composite rankings designate him as a high three-star prospect and the No,. 20 inside linebacker in the country for this recruiting cycle.

Rivals and 247Sports report Casey will be at Kentucky this upcoming weekend, with the prep prospect having visited Oregon the weekend prior. According to 247Sports, Casey holds 13 offers, which along with the previously mentioned four frontrunners include Purdue, Cincinnati, and others.

Both recruiting services state that Casey will be in Madison the weekend of Oct. 5. That would allow him to see Camp Randall Stadium in an evening atmosphere when the No. 15 Badgers host Nebraska (6:30 p.m. CT, BTN).
