2019 longsnapper Peter Bowden commits to Wisconsin as walk-on

On Wednesday, Wisconsin received a verbal commitment from 2019 long snapper Peter Bowden.

Bowden is rated a five-star long snapper and the No. 5 player in the country at that position by Rubio Long Snapping, with his profile also noting a 6’3, 220-pound frame.

Last month, Bowden tweeted that he received a preferred walk-on offer from Wisconsin. The San Diego (Francis Parker) native appeared to earn it after performing at one of Wisconsin’s specialists camps in late June, one where he also tweeted that he won the snapping competition.

Wisconsin currently has true sophomore Adam Bay and redshirt sophomore Josh Bernhagen as long snappers on the roster.
