Wisconsin ranked No. 4 in preseason AP Top 25

More hype for the 2018 Badgers.

The hype train rolls on.

The Associated Press released the preseason AP Top 25 Poll on Monday with your Wisconsin Badgers ranked No. 4 behind the Alabama Crimson Tide (duh), Clemson Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs. The Ohio State Buckeyes round out the top five.

Wisconsin even received one first-place vote, bringing the Badgers’ total “points” to 1,271. Georgia, which did not receive a first-place vote, accumulated 1,350 points at No. 3. No. 4 is UW’s highest-ever AP preseason spot, matching the 2000 poll.

As a refresher, the Badgers finished No. 7 in the final AP Top 25 for the 2017 season after a 13–1 season culminated in an Orange Bowl win over the Miami Hurricanes.
