Wisconsin in top 10 of preseason Amway Coaches Poll

Another year of big expectations.

Watch lists and media days have passed, and one of the annual rites of passage before the unleashing of a college football season was also revealed on Thursday.

That would be the unveiling of a preseason poll.

The Wisconsin Badgers ranked No. 7 in the preseason Amway Coaches poll released on Aug. 2. UW is the second-highest ranked Big Ten Conference team, only behind No. 3 Ohio State.

Penn State (No. 9), Michigan State (No. 12), and Michigan (No. 14) round out the rest of the conference programs listed in the top 25.

Here are the schools ranked Nos. 1–10 in this poll:

  2. Clemson
  3. Ohio State
  4. Georgia
  5. Oklahoma
  6. Washington
  7. Wisconsin
  8. Miami
  9. Penn State
  10. Auburn
