MADISON—The Wisconsin Badgers returned to the field on Tuesday morning for another yet another fall camp practice.
I was there for maybe 40-50 minutes of today’s session before other responsibilities pulled me away from the practice field north of Camp Randall Stadium. There were also some NFL personnel at Wisconsin today, which from my eyes included representatives from the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings, and Baltimore Ravens.
WOZN’s Zach Heilprin also noted someone from the Los Angeles Rams in attendance, along with a certain in-state general manager of the Green Bay Packers:
#Packers GM Brian Gutekunst was at Wisconsin’s practice today.

Injuries
Four Badgers—cornerback Madison Cone (left leg), inside linebacker T.J. Edwards (right leg), offensive lineman Jason Erdmann (right leg) and fullback Alec Ingold (right leg)—all were listed as limited. Cone, Edwards and Erdmann were upgraded by UW.
Updated injury report from Tuesday. Dietzen, Moorman and Benzschawel all out. Had to leave practice early but saw Van Lanen at LT, walk-on Josh Seltzner at RG; ILB T.J. Edwards returned. pic.twitter.com/Z8NzUDfq1G

Three linemen were added as “out” for Tuesday’s practice, including right guard Beau Benzschawel (right arm) and left tackle Jon Dietzen (right leg). Redshirt junior lineman David Moorman (right leg) was also listed as out.
As noted by many media who were in attendance, right tackle David Edwards and wide receiver A.J. Taylor also appeared to suffer respective injuries during practice.
#Badgers LG Michael Deiter indicated that Dietzen and Benzschawel were held out more for precautionary reasons. Nothing serious. https://t.co/c7ChcM5JyE

Tough practice on the injury front, too. Both David Edwards and AJ Taylor left the field to have trainers take a look at them. Will have to wait until next injury report to see if they will miss any practice time. #Badgers

Starting OL with Edwards, Dietzen & Benzschawel out:

LT Cole Van Lanen
LG Michael Deiter
C Tyler Biadasz
RG Josh Seltzner
RT Tyler Beach
#Badgers WR A.J. Taylor also went down late in practice during 7-on-7. Looked like it could be his left ankle but he got up/walked off on his own.

From the one set of team reps I saw, walk-on Josh Seltzner worked at right guard while redshirt sophomore Cole Van Lanen was at left tackle. Heilprin’s tweet from earlier today reaffirmed what it looked like during the rest of practice, with the inclusion of redshirt sophomore Tyler Biadasz back at center.

More observations
- Before I left, saw Kendric Pryor, Danny Davis, Cade Green, Aron Cruickshank and Jack Dunn all working on catching punts.
- Here are couple other thoughts from those in attendance:
Today it was Caesar Williams and Faion Hicks who began the day with the #Badgers’ first-team defense at CB.

Asked Alex Hornibrook about all the new faces in UW’s secondary. Impressed with safety Scott Nelson. Said he does a good job disguising coverages. Has helped him make a bunch of big plays.
