Jonathan Taylor squats 500 pounds

More from Wisconsin’s impressive end to summer conditioning.

We highlighted some of the impressive physical feats particular Wisconsin Badgers accomplished earlier this week, with D’Cota Dixon power cleaning 335 pounds and Chris James bench pressing 405.

Add sophomore running back Jonathan Taylor to the list, as the video above from Wisconsin on Thursday showed the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award watch list nominee squatting 500 pounds.

Also impressive was a 315-pound power clean by redshirt senior tight end Zander Neuville earlier this week. The former walk-on from Waupaca, Wis., is coming off a season-ending right leg injury suffered in the 2017 regular-season finale at Minnesota. He should provide a presence in both the rushing and passing attacks for Wisconsin as the offense looks to replace the production and consistency of Troy Fumagalli.
