Wisconsin in Top 5 for 2019 OLB Lance Dixon

West Bloomfield, Mich., outside linebacker Lance Dixon released his top five schools on Friday afternoon, which included the Wisconsin Badgers and four other Big Ten programs.

Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State are also in the running for the verbal pledge of the highly-touted linebacker, who will participate in The Opening Finals later this summer after claiming the linebacker MVP honors at The Opening Regional Ohio camp in May.

At that regional event, Dixon—listed at 6’2 and 201 pounds—ran a 4.55-second 40-yard dash and recorded a 35.6” vertical jump.

Dixon is rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports (composite and standalone rankings) and a three-star recruit by both ESPN and Rivals. 247Sports composite rankings currently list him as the No. 252 player and No. 16 outside linebacker overall in the country.

247Sports lists assistants Mickey Turner and Bo Bostad as coaches recruiting Dixon for Wisconsin, with Rivals noting Bostad and Bobby April III.

As noted in B5Q’s official visit tracker according to 247Sports and Land of 10, Dixon will visit Wisconsin this month starting on the 15th. The Michigan standout will also reportedly visit Penn State next weekend on June 8, according to both 247Sports and Rivals.
