With the forecast calling for temperatures in the 90s, Memorial Union should be busy this weekend with Madison residents, university students staying on campus for the summer, and some class of 2019 recruits hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers.
Two verbal commits and several other uncommitted targets will take in Wisconsin’s football facilities and the university.
As seen in our official visit tracker below, commits Julius Davis and Leo Chenal will reportedly be in town. Both are in-state, high three-star recruits according to 247Sports’ composite ratings, with Davis receiving offers from Notre Dame, LSU, and USC.
Chenal, by the way, can bench a lot:

Uncommitted recruits officially visiting this weekend
Last week, Wisconsin hosted linebacker Spencer Lytle and reportedly offensive lineman Bryce Benhart, both of whom are still deciding their collegiate futures. This week, there are quite a few more recruits reportedly making their way to UW:
- Four-star linebacker Lance Dixon, from the same high school as current Wisconsin freshman receivers Taj Mustapha and A.J. Abbott, officially visited Penn State last weekend. Dixon claimed a spot in The Opening Finals earlier this spring.
- Semar Melvin, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (St. Thomas Aquinas) cornerback who just visited Virginia last weekend. From the same high school as current Wisconsin corner Dontye Carriere-Williams and former Badgers James White, Conor O’Neill and Dez Southward, he is rated a four-star recruit by Rivals and noted on Twitter recently that he plans to commit soon.
- Defensive lineman Gio Paez, who according to 247Sports composite rankings is a three-star prospect who hails from the same high school as former 2019 Wisconsin commit Nolan Groulx. He visited N.C. State last weekend.
- According to Davis’s tweet on Thursday evening, two other players appear to be making their way to Madison. B5Q confirmed with Riverside, Mo. (Park Hill South) defensive lineman Etinosa Reuben that he will officially visit Wisconsin this weekend. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, he is a high three-star recruit with offers from Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Notre Dame, among many others.
- Omaha, Neb. (Burke) linebacker Nick Henrich is a four-star prospect by 247Sports’ composite rankings with offers from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Oregon, and Penn State. B5Q reached out to Henrich to confirm.
Thursday night, B5Q received word from a source regarding another visitor, Columbus, Ohio (St. Francis De Sales) lineman Rodas Johnson.
247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals all rate Johnson as a four-star recruit, with 247Sports listing him as a defensive tackle while the other two recruiting services designate him on the offensive side of the ball as a guard. B5Q has also reached out to Johnson to officially confirm he is coming to Madison.
