Another former Wisconsin Badgers standout has found a home in the NFL—and this one won’t be going far at all.

The Green Bay Packers announced on Friday their signing of defensive lineman Conor Sheehy as one of 13 rookie free agents.

Sheehy played in 54 games (33 starts) over four years at Wisconsin, contributing 95 tackles, 13.5 for loss, and six sacks. Last season, Sheehy claimed second-team All-Big Ten honors from the coaches and third-team from the media after starting all 14 games for Wisconsin as a defensive end. During the Badgers’ 13–1 season that ended with an Orange Bowl win over Miami, the Milwaukee (Marquette) native registered 35 tackles, 5.5 for loss, along with 1.5 sacks.

He was also invited to the East-West Shrine Game in January, though he was listed as injured on the West roster.

Mostly known as a defensive end, Sheehy also showed some versatility when he played nose tackle for a portion of the 2016 season while Olive Sagapolu was injured. In their announcement of the undrafted free agent signings, the Packers list him as an end.

Sheehy is now the fourth Badger officially signed as an undrafted free agent this year, joining fellow defensive lineman Alec James, fullback Austin Ramesh, and linebacker Garret Dooley.

Several of Dooley’s teammates on defense were drafted last weekend, including cornerback Nick Nelson (Oakland Raiders), defensive back Natrell Jamerson (New Orleans Saints), and linebackers Jack Cichy (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Leon Jacobs (Jacksonville Jaguars).
