Rice transfer Malik Obsorne tweeted on Thursday that he received an offer from the Wisconsin Badgers.

Osborne played one year at Rice, averaging nine points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the Owls as a freshman during the 2017–18 season. Listed at 6’8, 200 pounds by Rice, the forward played in 31 games with 27 starts last season, averaging 27.1 minutes per game, recording three double-doubles and leading the team in blocks (24). He also successfully converted 64.3 percent of his free throws.

Badger247’s Evan Flood and BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara noted Osborne will visit Wisconsin next weekend.

Earlier this week, Osborne tweeted he received offers from Virginia Tech, Florida State, and San Diego State. Last month, he announced offers from Seton Hall and UC-Santa Barbara.

Osborne announced his intention to transfer from Rice on March 22.

From Matteson, Ill., Obsorne played basketball at Don Bosco Prep. It appears he would have to sit out one year, then have three more years of eligibility ahead of him.
