The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Wisconsin Badgers linebacker Leon Jacobs in the seventh round with the No. 230 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft on Saturday.

The all-time leader in games played by an FBS player (59), Jacobs selflessly moved around various positions in his time at Wisconsin, going from outside linebacker to inside linebacker, then playing both fullback and later inside linebacker last season. For the 2017 season, he moved back outside and formed an imposing duo with fellow ‘backer Garret Dooley.

In 14 games, Jacobs responded to the move back to his original position with 60 tackles, 9.5 for loss, along with 3.5 sacks and two interceptions on one of the nation’s top defenses.

Jacobs participated in the 2018 East-West Shrine Game back in January along with former teammates Alec James and Natrell Jamerson, then was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

At the Combine, Jacobs showed his freakish athletic ability, running a 4.48-second 40-yard dash at 246 pounds and bench pressing 225 pounds 26 times.

SB Nation’s Dan Kadar recently wrote that Jacobs is one of his eight sleepers in the draft.

Jacobs joins teammates Nick Nelson, Troy Fumagalli, Natrell Jamerson and Jack Cichy as Badgers selected in this 2018 NFL Draft.

He also becomes part of a group of former Wisconsin linebackers like Chris Borland, Joe Schobert, T.J. Watt, Vince Biegel and Cichy who have been drafted since 2014.
