National Signing Day 2018: What to expect from Wisconsin

Consider this your open thread for the day.

That may be the best description of what Wisconsin Badgers fans should expect on Wednesday, the official National Signing Day for the class of 2018.

Why? Well, 19 scholarship players and seven walk-ons signed with UW on the first day of the three-day early signing period back in December.

There could be a final piece added to Wisconsin’s 2018 class on Wednesday, however, as three-star cornerback Rachad Wildgoose, Jr., will be announcing his commitment. 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions are currently in favor of “defending national champion” UCF, though there was a Wisconsin prediction from the likes of SB Nation’s own Bud Elliott last night. If you subscribe to BadgerBlitz.com, the great Rivals site has had some intriguing information in its Badgers’ Den forum ($).

Elsewhere, Wisconsin received a verbal commitment on Tuesday night from California native John Torchio, who turned down scholarship offers from Cal, Air Force, Army, and San Diego State to reportedly walk-on to UW.

Check back here throughout the day for more as we track NSD 2018 developments. For now, here’s the list for the class of 2018 (those in bold have officially signed and faxed in their National Letters of Intent).
