Wisconsin Badgers running back Jonathan Taylor won the 2018 Doak Walker Award on Thursday night, given annually to the nation’s best running back.
Through 12 games, Taylor has rushed for 1,989 yards and 15 touchdowns. He leads the country in rushing yards and rushing yards per game heading into the 2018 Pinstripe Bowl against Miami.
Taylor joins Melvin Gordon, Montee Ball, and Ron Dayne as Badgers who have won the prestigious award.

The Salem, N.J., native rushed for 100 or more yards in 11 of 12 games during the 2018 season.
