Cundiff previously pledged to Kansas back in the summer, but found his way to Madison after assistant coach Ted Gilmore visited his school in late September, asking if he would take an official visit to UW.
The prep standout came to Wisconsin, was offered after the Badgers’ win against Nebraska, then flipped his commitment to Paul Chryst’s program less than 24 hours later.
“I went into Coach Chryst’s office and we were chatting for about 15 minutes, and then after we were done chatting, I told him that I’m ready,” Cundiff told B5Q in October. “Then I went out and told the other coaches, and they were all really excited about it.”
According to Rivals, Cundiff held eight offers from Wisconsin, Kansas, Bowling Green and South Dakota State, among others.
