Fans only need to watch the senior highlights from 2019 tight end Hayden Rucci to know he enjoys pancaking defenders while also showcasing the ability to catch the ball well.
He brings those talents to Wisconsin, where he will be under the tutelage of tight ends coach Mickey Turner.
Despite the upward tick in receiving targets during his senior season, he still loves dominating in the run game. As Rucci told B5Q back in October:
“Getting those pancakes in is my favorite.”

Verbally committed on Feb. 5, 2018
At the time, Rucci became Wisconsin’s eighth verbal commitment of the 2019 class earlier this year. He officially visited in early June with a group that included signees Graham Mertz, Spencer Lytle, Joe Tippmann and Logan Brown.
In October, he unofficially visited Wisconsin during the weekend of the Nebraska game.
According to 247Sports, Rucci held 15 offers—while Rivals noted 18. Duke, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Virginia and West Virginia all presented scholarship opportunities to the prep tight end.
