Cameron Phillips will come to Madison as one of the higher profile walk-ons, if there is such a thing, in recent memory for the Badgers.
An athletic receiver who played through his junior season at Westerville Central High School in Ohio, he transferred to IMG Academy following his junior football season. Unfortunately for Phillips, he would reportedly tore his ACL during the spring of 2018.
The Badgers had remained in touch and maintained a positive relationship with the injured pass catcher, which led to his decision to walk on with Wisconsin.

Verbally committed on December 1, 2018
In what was a bit of an unforeseen commitment, Phillips pledged his talents to the Badgers on Saturday, Dec. 1. Phillips, who appeared to be a priority target for Wisconsin a year or so ago, clearly felt strongly enough about the prep receiver to accept him as a preferred walk on.
According to 247Sports Phillips held offers from Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kentucky, Rutgers, and Minnesota, among others, prior to his injury this past spring.
