Wisconsin released its Monday preliminary injury report, and three offensive contributors are still designated as questionable heading into Saturday’s match-up against rival Minnesota.
That includes starting quarterback Alex Hornibrook (head), right tackle David Edwards (left arm), and back-up running back Taiwan Deal (right leg).
Hornibrook, Edwards, and Deal did not travel to West Lafayette and play in Wisconsin’s 47–44 triple-overtime victory last Saturday.
Second-year quarterback Jack Coan started his third game in place of Hornibrook, completing 16 of 24 passes for 160 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Redshirt freshman Logan Bruss started in place of Edwards at right tackle.
With Deal out, Garrett Groshek and Chris James rushed a combined 12 times for 57 yards. The former scored a four-yard touchdown in the second overtime period as well.
Reserve fullback Mason Stokke (left leg) was taken off the injury report after being listed as questionable on last Thursday’s injury report.
