Another huge milestone for Ethan Happ was etched in Wisconsin history on Saturday night, as the big man claimed Wisconsin’s all-time leading rebounding record in the first half of UW’s home contest against Houston Baptist.
With his 905th career board, Happ passed Claude Gregory (1978–81) to break the record.
Early in the second half against the Huskies, Happ grabbed his 10th rebound of the night, securing his second straight double-double. Including his triple-double in the first game of the season against Coppin State, the redshirt senior has started his final year at UW off on a dominant note.
Heading into Saturday’s game, Happ also ranked seventh in school history in points (1,581), third in steals (179), sixth in blocks (114), and 13th in assists (287).
Happ claimed preseason AP All-America honors, becoming the fourth Badger to do so in school history.
