It will apparently be the “Jack Coan Show” again on offense for the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday without Alex Hornibrook, while two other key offensive contributors will not participate as well.
According to multiple reports, Hornibrook did not travel with the team to Purdue. That would place Coan as the starter, with the second-year signal caller playing in his fourth game of the season.
In three games, Coan has completed 58.6 percent of his passes for 282 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions apiece.

Reports from the Wisconsin State Journal’s Jason Galloway and WOZN’s Zach Heilprin also state that starting right tackle David Edwards (left arm) did not travel to West Lafayette for Saturday’s match-up against Purdue (2:30 p.m. CT, BTN). Wisconsin lists redshirt freshman Logan Bruss as the No. 2 right tackle on its depth chart currently.
Redshirt senior running back Taiwan Deal (right leg) also did not travel with the team, and obviously will not play. Deal’s re-emergence this season has been one of the bright spots for an inconsistent Wisconsin. As a complement to sophomore Jonathan Taylor, Deal has rushed for 480 yards on 7.1 yards per carry with five rushing scores. He suffered an injury after a 37-yard gain in last week’s 22-10 loss at Penn State.
