What a start to the week for Wisconsin Badgers recruiting.
2020 offensive lineman Dylan Barrett verbally committed to Wisconsin on Monday night, announcing his decision via Twitter.
247Sports and Rivals both designate Barrett as a three-star prospect, with 247Sports composite rankings rating him as the No. 25 offensive guard in the nation. Both recruiting services report 13 offers for the St. Charles, Ill. (East) recruit, including Iowa, Duke, Northwestern, Purdue and West Virginia.
247Sports lists Barrett as an offensive guard, with Rivals noting him as a tackle. For what it’s worth, Barrett’s UW-given lanyard listed him as a guard when he was in Madison on Saturday visiting during Wisconsin’s 41-24 win over Nebraska.
Barrett joins fellow offensive lineman Jack Nelson and Trey Wedig as current Wisconsin verbal commits for the class of 2020.
Earlier this week, Wisconsin received a verbal commitment from class of 2019 tight end Clay Cundiff on Sunday evening as well.
