Following on the heels of Wisconsin’s 31–17 loss to Northwestern on Saturday, the Badgers dropped out of the AP Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Poll.

The Badgers (5–3, 3–2 Big Ten) have now not only lost the pole position in the Big Ten West but also their place in the national rankings for the first time in over a year.

Only four Big Ten teams remained in the Week 10 polls announced Sunday: Michigan (No. 5 AP and coaches); No. 8 Ohio State (No. 8 AP and coaches); Penn State (No. 14 AP, No. 13 coaches); and Iowa (No. 19 AP, No. 18 coaches).

The Badgers, Michigan State, and Northwestern all received votes.

In Bill Connelly’s S&P+ rankings, Wisconsin is ranked 17th, down four slots from last week.
