Wisconsin moves up in AP Top 25

The Badgers stayed put in the coaches poll.

Matt Fleming

The Wisconsin Badgers moved up in one of the major polls on Sunday afternoon, climbing to No. 20 in the AP Top 25.

That’s a three-spot jump for Wisconsin (5–2, 3–1 Big Ten) entering this week as they prepare to face Northwestern on the road in a key Big Ten West divisional match-up next weekend.

In the Amway Coaches Poll, UW remained at No. 19.

The AP poll now has Big Ten programs Michigan (No. 5, up one spot), Ohio State (No. 11, down nine), Penn State (No. 17, up one), Iowa (No. 18, up four), and Wisconsin.

In the coaches poll, conference representatives include the Wolverines (No. 5, up two), Buckeyes (No. 9, down seven), Nittany Lions (No. 16, no movement), Hawkeyes (No. 18, up four), and Badgers.

In Bill Connelly’s S&P+ ratings, Wisconsin is ranked No. 13, up three spots from last week.
