D’Cota Dixon among four Wisconsin defensive backs still questionable for Illinois

Updated injury report below.

The Wisconsin Badgers released their updated injury report on Thursday morning, just over 48 hours away from their homecoming match-up against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

Who plays in Wisconsin’s defensive backfield is still up in the air, as safeties D’Cota Dixon (right leg), Scott Nelson (right leg), and Reggie Pearson (left leg), plus cornerback Faion Hicks (left leg), are still listed as questionable heading into this weekend’s contest against the Illini (11 a.m. CT, FS1).

Reserve cornerback Travian Blaylock (right leg) has been downgraded to out for the game, while inside linebacker Griffin Grady has been taken off the injury report altogether.

Last week in the 38–13 loss to Michigan, redshirt sophomore safety Eric Burrell led the team in tackles (11). With arguably three of the team’s four best players at his position questionable, it will be worth watching who steps in alongside Burrell.
