Wisconsin makes Top 3 for 2019 DL Taurean Carter

The Texas standout likes the Badgers.

With Wisconsin still working to add pieces to its 2019 class, the football program received good news from a talented Texas prospect.

Mansfield, Texas (Legacy) defensive lineman Taurean Carter released his list of top three schools on Sunday afternoon, with Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Arkansas in the mix.

247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals all rate Carter as a three-star recruit, with 247Sports’ composite rankings designating him as the No. 40 strong-side defensive end in the nation. For what it’s worth, 247Sports lists Carter at that position, while ESPN and Rivals list him as a defensive tackle.

Both Rivals and 247Sports show 13 offers for Carter, including from Texas, Texas Tech, Colorado, Florida, Minnesota, and Purdue, among others, with the two major recruiting services reporting that Carter visited Arkansas back on the weekend of Oct. 6. It appears there has not been an official visit set up to Madison yet.

247Sports’ current Crystal Ball predictions currently show all the love for the Razorbacks, with Rivals’s profile of Carter listing a commitment date of Oct. 24.
