GAME THREAD: Wisconsin vs. Michigan State

Can the Badgers somehow pull of the upset?

NCAA Basketball: Wisconsin at Iowa Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

The Wisconsin Badgers will attempt to get a sour taste out of their mouths on Friday night, but it will be a tough task not just on the road but against the No. 6 Michigan State Spartans.

Wisconsin (10-11, 3-5 Big Ten) lost in lopsided fashion on Tuesday night, falling to Iowa 85-67 loss at Iowa City. They are in East Lansing looking to defeat its first ranked team this season.

Michigan State (18-3, 6-2) are in the top 10 and defeated Illinois 87-74 in Champaign on Monday.

On Friday, ESPN’s Outside the Lines released a disturbing report that “found a pattern of widespread denial, inaction and information suppression of such allegations by officials ranging from campus police to the Spartan athletic department.” That included incidents stemming from its football and men’s basketball programs, led by Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo, respectively.

Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis resigned on Friday.
