Another former Wisconsin Badgers standout reportedly finds another home in the NBA.

Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Shams Charania reported on Thursday afternoon that the Los Angeles Lakers will sign former Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes to a 10-day contract, according to his sources. The historic professional basketball organization has not formally announced the move yet, however.

Playing for the NBA G-League Westchester Knicks, Hayes averaged 14.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in 30 contests, which included 27 starts.

With Hayes’s help, Westchester currently leads the NBA G-League Eastern Conference with a 20–10 record, the best mark by a team in the league itself.

Hayes also shot 45.8 percent of the field (44 percent from three-point range) and 72.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The former Wisconsin forward started his NBA career with the New York Knicks’ summer league team back in the summer of 2017 after not being selected in the NBA Draft.
