GAME THREAD: Wisconsin vs. Purdue

Can the Badgers pull off the upset?

NCAA Basketball: Wisconsin at Rutgers Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The Wisconsin Badgers will have quite the test heading into Tuesday night’s match-up against No. 3 Purdue at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette.

This game is part of ESPN’s “Super Tuesday” event, with tip-off starting at 6 p.m. CT. Dave Flemming, Dan Dakich and Molly McGrath will be on the call for ESPN, while you can listen to Matt Lepay and Mike Lucas on the Badger Radio Network.

Wisconsin (9-9, 2-3) are coming off two road losses to Rutgers and Nebraska that were both winnable contests. It should bear watching if the Badgers can generate offense against Purdue (17-2, 6-0), which is riding high on a 13-game winning streak, the second-highest in the nation behind Auburn’s 14 through Jan. 14.

That includes five games versus top-40 teams in the KenPom ratings.

Four Boilermakers average double figures for Matt Painter’s group, including the likes of Carsen Edwards (16.7), Isaac Haas (14.8), Vincent Edwards (14.4), and Dakota Mathias (13.3).

Follow along with us as we see if the Badgers can pull off an ultimate upset.
