Three weeks of matches, three weeks of Big Ten volleyball honors for Wisconsin.
Junior middle blocker Tionna Williams was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after a huge weekend that saw her named the HotelRed Invitational Most Valuable Player. Williams had a double-double against Lipscomb on Thursday (10 kills, 11 blocks) and led the team in blocks against Texas A&M on Saturday with six.
Freshman middle blocker Dana Rettke was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week. Rettke, who also received the honor after Week One, had a 13-kill match against Lipscomb and a 12-kill, four-block match against the Aggies. With setter Sydney Hilley taking the award after Week Two, Wisconsin freshmen have been honored every week so far in the young season.
