What a feel-good story.
For his final year at Wisconsin, walk-on forward Aaron Moesch was awarded a scholarship for the 2017-18 season. The Badgers announced the special occasion in a unique way on Saturday evening as they began their international trip to New Zealand and Australia from Aug. 12–24.
In the video below, Badgers recite various phrases and slang possibly heard “down under” while traveling internationally. From Charles Thomas to freshmen Nathan Reuvers and Brad Davison, the players laughed after reading their assigned sentences out loud.
Last up in the video was Moesch, who said two sentences before stating, “No worries, mum, I’m on scholarship this season.”
After a brief second, the redshirt senior sighed as his teammates and head coach Greg Gard embraced him.
Now this is how you start an adventure!

Wisconsin begins the first of five exhibition games on Aug. 15 against the New Zealand Breakers in Auckland, New Zealand.
