It appears the Wisconsin Badgers continue to reload at a vital position.
Cincinnati, Ohio (St. Xavier) quarterback Chase Wolf verbally committed to Wisconsin on Friday afternoon. The 6’1, 188-pound recruit tweeted his announcement via Twitter.
“Beyond excited to announce that I have committed to the University of Wisconsin!! #OnWisconsin,” Wolf said on the social media platform.
Rated a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and Scout, Wolf recently competed in the Opening Regional event in Cleveland. earning positional MVP in the process.
According to Scout, Wolf held offers from the likes of Boston College, Cincinnati, Maryland, Missouri, Pitt, and South Carolina, among others. The junior admitted to Cincinnati.com’s Adam Baum that he was between the Golden Eagles and Gamecocks before his visit to Madison in the spring, but as he told BadgerNation.com’s Ben Worgull, he “knew it was home.”
According to MaxPreps, he completed 60 percent of his passes for nearly 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns last year. According to Baum’s article, Wolf earned opportunities with Penn State commit Sean Clifford dealing with injuries, throwing for 11 touchdowns in four games. St. Xavier won Ohio’s Division I state championship.

Wolf is the ninth known verbal commit and the second quarterback for Wisconsin’s class of 2018. His future teammates congratulated him:
