The Wisconsin Badgers class of 2018 is now down to eight.

Three-star quarterback Ben Bryant reopened his recruiting process on Friday night. The news was first reported by Gus Ramos of 247Sports ($), with the Illinois signal caller retweeting the article thereafter.

According to BadgerNation.com’s Ben Worgull, Bryant said UW pulled his offer after the La Grange, Ill. (Lyons Township) prospect tweeted Thursday evening that Georgia offered him. He was still solid to the Badgers, something that was reported by BadgerBlitz.com’s Jon McNamara earlier Friday.

Bryant was originally the third known verbal commit for Wisconsin’s 2018 class after Reggie Pearson and Trent Ingalls, verbally pledging back in December 2016. He was the first of two quarterbacks in the class when Cincinnati, Ohio quarterback Chase Wolf announced his commitment to the Badgers last Friday.

According to 247 Sports, Rivals and Scout, his only offers are from the Bulldogs as well as Central Michigan.

McNamara also provides some additional information on BadgerBlitz.com’s “The Badgers’ Den” forum ($).
