The Wisconsin Badgers look to boast in-state bragging rights as they welcome the Marquette Golden Eagles to the Kohl Center on Saturday morning.
Wisconsin (4-6, 1-1 Big Ten) come off a disappointing 59-55 loss at Temple on Wednesday night where they did not score in the last 3:27 of the game.
Marquette (6-3) defeated Vermont 91-81 on Dec. 5 and are led by sophomore guard Markus Howard (22.4 points per game, 51.1 percent from the field). Sophomore guard/forward Sam Hauser averages 12.9 points and six rebounds per game.
The guard situation should be interesting to watch today with what the Wisconsin State Journal’s Jim Polzin reported earlier on Saturday morning.
The #Badgers are going to be really thin today. No sign of D’Mitrik Trice or Kobe King during pregame warmups.
