No. 1 Wisconsin women’s hockey defeats St. Cloud State 1–0

Top-ranked Badgers continue to roll.

No. 1 Wisconsin continues to be the class of women’s hockey.

The Badgers (20–1–0, 11–0–0 WCHA) nabbed another road conference win Friday, knocking off St. Cloud State 1–0.

Junior forward Sam Cogan scored the game’s only goal in the first period. It was all goaltender Kristen Campbell would need, as the redshirt sophomore stopped 16 shots en route to the shutout.

Campbell continues to be a revelation, leading the country with 20 wins along with a .946 save percentage and 1.05 goals against average. Friday was Campbell’s fifth shutout on the season.

Wisconsin and St. Cloud State face off again Saturday at 3 p.m in St. Cloud.
