One of four scholarship players for the Wisconsin Badgers in their class of 2018 prospects, outside linebacker Mason Platter comes to Madison as a player with potential and the ability to add more to his frame.

Coming from a well-known high school in Menomonie that churns out Division I college football players (note: hello, former Badgers target and current Iowa quarterback Nate Stanley), Platter joins the likes of offensive linemen Alex Fenton (class of 2017) and Mason Stokke (2016) as former Mustangs who have committed and signed to play for Wisconsin in recent memory.

Verbally committed on Feb. 20, 2017

It was a big day for Wisconsin recruiting in late February, as Platter was the third verbal commitment for the Badgers in one day. He joined the likes of C.J. Goetz and Boyd Dietzen after being offered just a day prior on a Sunday.

At the time, he was the then-sixth commit for the class of 2018.

According to 247Sports, Platter received offers from Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
