Wisconsin Badgers fans should excited for what Avon, Ind., standout Isaac Guerendo could bring to not just the offense, but to the third phase of the game in special teams. The 2017 IndyStar Mr. Football at wide receiver put on a stellar senior season, one in which he reportedly caught 54 passes for 1,258 yards and 16 touchdowns, plus three more scores (two rushing, one returning).

Playing wide receiver in high school but noted as an athlete by Wiscosnin in this class of 2018, it should bear watching how the speedster in Guerendo develops and grows, especially if it is under the guise of Wisconsin position coach and passing game coordinator Ted Gilmore.

Verbally committed on July 16, 2017

On film, Guerendo possesses game-breaking speed, and when allowed into the open field, it was difficult for prep defenders to catch him. He reportedly ran a 4.38 second 40-yard dash during a Notre Dame camp, and that showed on the field in catching deep passes and outrunning opponents in both his junior and senior years.

At the time of his verbal commitment, he was the 18th recruit for Wisconsin’s 2018 class.

According to 247Sports, Guerendo held offers from Wisconsin, Air Force, Army, Ball State and Eastern Michigan.
