With so much on the line, the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers did not look a game ahead to Indianapolis in its 31-0 win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday afternoon.
It was the 14th consecutive win for Wisconsin (12-0, 9-0 Big Ten) over Minnesota (5-7, 2-7). That continues the longest winning streak by either program in the 127 games played between these two teams.
For the first time ever since this rivalry began in 1890, UW leads the series with a 60-59-8 record.
Despite bigger aspirations ahead of them, the Badgers did not allow focus to shift on anything other than the Gophers this weekend.
The precedent set by those before them, Wisconsin players enjoyed hoisting the Axe once again, and there are plenty of pictures and video to support that.
