Follow along for another installment of the Axe game.

It’s that wonderful time of the year where the Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Gophers battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe and bragging rights until the next year.

The all-time series is tied at 59-59-8, so today’s game could vault Wisconsin (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) into the lead for the first time ever, in what will be the 127th installment of the rivalry. The series has not been tied since 1901, when it was 6-6. The Badgers will look to retain the Axe for the 14th straight year.

Minnesota (5-6, 2-6) will fight for bowl eligibility in P.J. Fleck’s first season as the Gophers’ head coach.

It’s a rivalry game, so you know both programs will give it their best. For Wisconsin, though, so much more is on the line with an undefeated season and keeping in the discussion for the College Football Playoff.
