The latest College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday night, and the Wisconsin Badgers moved up three spots to No. 5.
The jump doesn’t change much for the Badgers, who many see as controlling their own destiny regarding securing a playoff berth. Wisconsin likely will have to win out through the Big Ten Championship Game and then hope the selection committee sees enough value in its résumé. You might’ve heard, but strength of schedule hasn’t been in the Badgers’ favor lately.

Wisconsin faces Michigan on Saturday. ESPN College GameDay will broadcast live from Bascom Hill, though the 11 a.m. kickoff is a bit head-scratching. Nonetheless, the Badgers are in just about the best spot they could ask for entering mid-November.
We’ll have more on the match-up throughout the week, including a Q&A with Maize n Brew tomorrow.
