It always feels good to beat Minnesota.
A day after defeating the Gophers 3–2, No. 1 Wisconsin (12–0–0, 6–0–0 WCHA) completed the series sweep on Sunday with a 2–1 overtime victory. It was Wisconsin’s first road sweep of Minnesota (5–4–1, 4–3–1–0 WCHA) since 2006-07.
Sophomore forward Alexis Mauermann opened the scoring off of a Sam Cogan pass after a Gophers turnover.
