Wisconsin sophomore Ollie Hoare took first place in the Big Ten Cross Country Championships on Sunday, posting a 24:09.3 finish. He is the 25th Badger to win a Big Ten cross country individual title.

The Sydney, Australia, native has had a strong season for the Badgers, including leading the team with an eighth-place finish at the Greater Louisville Classic in September.
Senior Joe Hardy finished second, four seconds behind Hoare with a time of 24:13.2 and just three-tenths of a second ahead of third-place finisher Clark Ruiz of Michigan State.

Wisconsin finished third in the meet behind Michigan and Michigan State. The NCAA Great Lakes Regional is next up on Nov. 10 in Terre Haute, Ind.
