It’s been a tough two weeks for No. 9 Wisconsin volleyball.

After a pair of hard-fought losses on the road at No. 5 Minnesota and No. 1 Penn State, Wisconsin got back to its winning wills at the Field House on Saturday, sweeping Northwestern 25-17, 25-9, 25–16.

Wisconsin’s defense was solid, holding the Wildcats to .020, including a -.235 second set. The Badgers hit .387 for the match, including a blistering .577 first set.

Senior outside hitter Lauryn Gillis led the way with 12 kills. Junior middle blocker Tionna Williams had six blocks and freshman setter Sydney Hilley had 41 assists.

Wisconsin hosts a pair of home matches next weekend against Ohio State (Friday, 7 p.m.) and Maryland (Saturday, 7 p.m.).
